A public memorial for the late Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds is set to take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood on 25 March, where the mother and daughter are buried side by side.

The ceremony will take place at in the site's theatre which has a 1200 capacity. It will feature a programme including a touching tribute from James Blunt. An original song by the singer will play over a photo montage of the mother and daughter, according to .

The singer was close friends with Carrie, who he reffered to as his "American mother" and was godmother to his eight-month-old son.

The memorial will quite literally be an all-singing, all-dancing affair, with a performance by the Gay Men's Choir of Los Angeles, and a dance tribute from students at the Carrie Fisher dance school.

It will also include a display of memorabilia and costumes which belonged to Carrie and Debbie.

Carrie's daughter Billie will be present, as will her beloved dog Gary, who according to TMZ will be "front and centre".
